Spain’s Farinera Coromina has launched its range of specialist pizza flours in the UK.

The first mill outside of Italy certified by the prestigious Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana, Farinera Coromina boasts 125 years of heritage and recently debuted its flours at the European Pizza Show in Olympia, London.

The brand’s flours are now being adopted by pizza chefs across London and the south of England, while it is now actively seeking distribution partners to expand its reach throughout the UK.

Farinera Coromina uses 100% locally sourced, premium wheat and offers complete traceability from seed to sack, with its flours already sold across Spain, Portugal, France and Germany.

The firm, which is based in Banyoles in the north east of Spain, utilises 138 individual silos to store each wheat variety separately after rigorous analysis, a process which “guarantees that every batch of flour achieves identical parameters for unparalleled consistency”, without the need for chemical additives or added gluten.

“For generations, we have been the flour partner of choice for Spain’s finest artisan bakers,” said Lluís Coromina, who represents the fifth generation to lead the family-owned business.

“We are thrilled to bring that same commitment to the UK’s vibrant pizza community. Our goal is to provide chefs with the most vital ingredient for achieving a perfect, flavourful crust with incredible consistency, every single time.”

According to Coromina, a standout product in the range is the ‘Napoletana’ flour, which is officially certified by the Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana, a testament to its “exceptional quality and adherence to the highest standards” of authentic Neapolitan pizza making.

Pizzerias and distributors interested in sampling the flour should contact the official UK importer, Pimpernel Wharf.
