The founders of Deliciously Ella purchased the Allplants brand name and customer database in February 2025 after the firm entered administration, but they did not acquire the brand’s IP.
This enabled Grubby to buy the exclusive rights to the recipes and manufacturing methods for the entire Allplants product range the following month.
Five of the nine-strong line-up of plant-based ready meals will be soft-launched on the Grubby site from 22 August, with each dish a recreation of the original Allplants recipe.
The new ready meals range will be available exclusively via the Grubby website, although plans for a retail launch are in the works.
“We promised to bring the much-loved allplants products back to life for customers and, after months of hard work, we are delighted to deliver on our commitment,” said Grubby founder Martin Holden-White.
“The incredible work Jonathan Petrides and his team did in developing these dishes was a true asset of the brand and we’re delighted that they will live on, with a refreshed Grubby spin as part of our exciting expansion into ready meals.
“This launch represents an exciting evolution for Grubby. We’ve always believed eating more plants should be effortless, delicious, and genuinely impactful. With our new ready meals, we’re making it easier than ever for people to enjoy exceptional plant-powered food without compromising on taste or convenience.”
