New managing director Fraser Parramint succeeds David Bashford, who is retiring after more than 26 years with the business.
Having most recently served as the group operations director at The Bread Factory, Parramint brings with him over 25 years of senior leadership experience in the food and hospitality industry.
He has previously held senior roles at Marks & Spencer, Byron and The Restaurant Group, while during his time with The Bread Factory he has implemented key operational strategies that have driven efficiency, increased production and boosted profitability.
The appointment marks a “significant milestone” as the firm continues to scale nationally at the same time as demand for regulatory support and compliance innovation increases.
Discussing his appointment, Parramint said: “Food Alert has a rich history and a deserved reputation for excellence. I am excited to take on the role from David and build on this strong foundation. In a climate where compliance, safety, and risk management have never been more critical, I look forward to working with the talented Food Alert team to support our clients and deliver outstanding service.”
Meanwhile, Bashford praised the appointment of Parramint, describing him as someone that possesses a “commitment to making compliance seamless and effective”.
“Fraser is someone I’ve known and worked with for many years, both as a client and a respected industry figure,” Bashford said.
“His experience across hospitality, retail, and manufacturing gives him a unique perspective and makes him the ideal person to lead Food Alert into its next chapter. Fraser shares my commitment to making compliance seamless and effective, and I’m confident the company will continue to thrive under his leadership.”
With more than 30 years of experience, Food Alert is a leader in the fields of food safety, health and safety, and regulatory compliance. The firm supports hundreds of clients across the food manufacturing, retail and foodservice sectors.
