“We apologise for any convenience caused and thank you for your cooperation,” McCormack Family Farms said.
Symptoms caused by Listeria monocytogenes can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea.
“In rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications such as meningitis,” the Food Standards Agency noted.
“Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems.
“If you have bought the above products, do not eat them. Instead, return the products to where they were bought for a full refund.”
Meanwhile, Denar Limited is recalling all jars of ‘Destan Pistazien Crème Dubai Style’ with a best before date up to and including 4 April 2027 because it contains undeclared milk, which makes the product a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
The product is sold in 200g jars, with the Food Standards Agency stating that the recall is specific to England.
Denar Limited has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations which will tell their members about the recall, while it also issued point-of-sale notices to its customers.
