Waitrose and Partners is recalling certain packs of its ‘Indian Takeaway for 2’ because they contain undeclared sesame and soya.

Packs of the Waitrose Indian Takeaway for 2 (1412g) with a 25 July 2025 use by date have been mispacked with spring rolls.

The spring rolls contain the allergens sesame and soya but this is not mentioned on the label, meaning the product poses a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to sesame or soya.

The Food Standards Agency has advised Waitrose and Partners to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

The retailer is also displaying recall notices in stores and online, which explains why the product is being recalled. The recall notice has been listed with an end date of 25 August 2025.

Anyone that has purchased an impacted pack should not consume the contents and instead return it to their local Waitrose and Partners branch for a full refund.

“We apologise that is has been necessary to recall this product and for the inconvenience caused,” Waitrose and Partners said.

There are currently more than 300 Waitrose shops across the UK.

In related news, a wide range of jams are being recalled by Sarah Gray’s because they contain undeclared sulphites.

A total of 14 jam products have been recalled, with point of sale notices set to be displayed in all retail stores that sell them.
