Redmoor announced on 23 June that it is recalling two sizes of a ‘Japanese Rice Crackers’ product because they contain peanuts which are not mentioned on the label.
This means the products pose a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.
Two batches of Japanese Rice Crackers (125g) with the batch code 2254770 or 2254689 are being recalled, in addition to one batch of Japanese Rice Crackers (250g) with the batch code 2254608. All batches impacted have an April 2026 best before date.
Redmoor has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall, while it has issued point of sale notices that will displayed where its products are sold.
Anyone that has purchased a product involved in the recall can return it for a full refund to the store where it was purchased.
Consumers that are still concerned about the recall can also contact Redmoor directly.
In related news, Lidl is recalling one batch of Harvest Basket Hash Browns because it has been contaminated with pieces of metal.
The discount retailer has said that pieces of metal present a choking hazard and make the product unsafe to eat.
