Multiple Pieminister pies that should have a 24 June 2025 use-by date have instead been labelled with a 24 June 2026 use-by date.
The products are therefore not safe to eat beyond their intended use-by of 24 June this year.
The error impacts the following SKUs:
- Pieminister Moo - British Beef Steak and Craft Ale Pie 270g
- Pieminister Moo & Blue - British Beef Steak and Stilton Pie 270g
- Pieminister Kate & Sidney - British Beef Steak, Kidney and Craft Ale Pie 270g
- Pieminister Deer & Beer - Venison, Milk Stout, Mushroom and Thyme Pie 270g
- Pieminister Free Ranger - Free Range British Chicken and Ham Pie with Leek 270g
- Pieminister Fungi Chicken - Free Range British Chicken, Portobello and Chestnut Mushroom 270g
- Pieminister Wild Shroom - Portobello and Chestnut Mushroom Pie with Asparagus and White Wine 270g
- Pieminister Mooless Moo - Jackfruit ‘Steak’, Craft Ale and Black Pepper Pie 270g
- Pieminister - Goat’s Cheese and Sweet Potato Filo Pie with Red Onion and Spinach 230g
- Pieminister - Spinach and Feta Filo Pie with Kale, Lemon and Dill 230g
The recall is England, Scotland and Wales specific, with Pieminister pies stocked by several leading retailers.
Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that sell these products urging customers not to eat them beyond their intended use-by date of 24 June 2025. However, anyone that wants a refund can still return any impacted products to the store where they were bought for a full refund.
“Pieminister Kitchens would like to reassure customers that these pies have been produced to the same exacting standards of food safety and quality that you expect from us, and they are completely safe to eat until 24 June 2025,” said Pieminister.
“Pieminister Kitchens apologises for any inconvenience this technical issue may cause our customers and assure them that we take this matter very seriously. We are working closely with our technical teams and have implemented additional measures to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.”
