One batch of Healthy Fit brand Cookies & Cream Protein Bars is being recalled because the label fails to disclose in English that the bars contain milk and soya.
This means the products poses a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents or an allergy to soya.
The 60g bars are only sold in Lidl stores in Northern Ireland, while only products with a January 2026 best before date and 002851 batch code are impacted by the recall.
Lidl operates nearly 40 stores and three logistics centres in Northern Ireland employing more than 800 people.
Healthy Fit has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations which will inform their members about the recall. Point of sales notices will also be displayed in all Lidl retail stores that are sell the product in order to alert consumers.
“If you have purchased the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or soy, we advise you not to consume it,” Lidl said.
“Instead, please return the product to a Lidl store for a full refund, with or without a receipt. Lidl wishes to apologise for any inconvenience causes. Any customers with queries or concerns can contact our customer services team.”
Just last month Lidl announced the recall of several products that may contain pieces of plastic.
Sold in stores across Britain, the products included several different multipacks of fruit and nut bars sold under the brand name Alesto.
