Cygnet Gin has appointed Vedran Milosevic as its new global managing director.

Milosevic took on the role on 1 June shortly after departing Diageo where he spent nearly 14 years in various roles including as global commercial director for luxury at Diageo.

In a career in the luxury beverage and hospitality sectors that spans more than 20 years, Milosevic has developed a “deep commercial acumen and strategic insight” that will help him drive Cygnet forward.

Cygnet Gin was founded by Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins in 2018.

“We are thrilled to welcome Vedran to our Cygnet family,” said Cygnet Gin chair Matteo Fantacchiotti.

“As we prepare for our next stage of growth, particularly in the UK and USA, and strategically seed our presence in global luxury cities, knowing Vedran since many years I am very confident his leadership, global mindset, and luxury expertise will be instrumental in accelerating our vision and implementation of our plans.”

Milosevic explained that he was pleased to join Cygnet Gin at an “truly exciting time” for the business.

“The brand is bold, modern, and beautifully crafted, positioned perfectly for a new generation of luxury consumers,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to leading the exceptional team at Cygnet to drive ambitious growth across the world’s most influential cities.”

In a post on LinkedIn, Milosevic also reflected on his time at Diageo: “Thank you, Diageo – what a journey.

“After nearly 14 incredible years at Diageo, it’s time for me to close this chapter and step into an exciting new one.

“As I reflect on my time here, what stands out most is the people – the relationships, the friendships, the shared moments that go far beyond brands and numbers.

“I’ve been so lucky to work alongside some of the most talented, passionate, and inspiring people in this industry. You’ve challenged me, taught me, lifted me, and made the journey unforgettable.”
