Salted Caramel and Belgian Chocolate Hot Brownie Puddings are now available in selected Asda and Tesco stores with an MSRP of £2.75.
Capitalising on consumer demand for indulgent options that offer a ‘superior taste experience’, these new desserts are made with a rich Belgian chocolate pudding and a ‘silky-smooth’ sauce, which Mr Kipling claimed sets them apart from other products on the market.
Commenting on the launch, Premier Foods brand director for desserts Rob Watson said: “Mr Kipling is famous for delighting shoppers with a wide variety of treats, so the brand is perfectly positioned to deliver delicious dessert innovation that taps into the latest trends.
Treating moments
“The Signature Collection range is already well known for delivering more indulgent premium treats, and with an indulgent Belgian chocolate taste and a decadent texture, the new puddings offer a superior taste experience that meets the growing demand for those treating moments.
“Through the new launches, we are aiming to expand the entire category by enticing more shoppers to the ambient aisle when they’re looking for their next sweet treat.”
This year has already seen a number of product launches in the Mr Kipling range in both the ambient bakery and frozen aisles.
NPD launches
In March, Mr Kipling bolstered its portfolio with the launch of new limited-edition Simnel Slices in time for Easter.
Regarded as the third most popular cake flavour at Easter – up 7.3% versus 2023 – Simnel cake is often found in larger sharing sizes. To meet growing demand for the flavour, Mr Kipling has translated the cake into a smaller, more convenient format.
That same month, Mr Kipling expanded its ice cream range with a new flavour inspired by its Caramel Tart offering.
The new addition to its frozen treat range, Mr Kipling Caramel Tart Ice Cream, combines creamy caramel flavour ice cream with swirls of caramel flavour sauce and sweet pastry pieces.
