Certain jars of ‘Organic Alla Norma Sauce (350g)’ are being recalled by Organico Realfoods because the pasta sauce product, which is sold under the ‘Realfoods by Organico’ branding, may contain pieces of glass, making it unsafe to eat.
The recall only impacts jars with the batch code 140227 and a best before date of 14 February 2027.
Organico Realfoods said that it was recalling the batch as a precaution after it was reported that pieces of glass were found in one jar.

To alert consumers, Organic Realfoods is distributing point of sale notices that explain why the recall was announced to all stores that sell the product.
The notice urges anyone that has purchased the product not to consume it and to instead return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.
If the retailer does not accept refunds, customers have been told to contact Organic Realfoods directly.
“We apologise that it has been necessary to recall this product and for the inconvenience caused,” the firm said in a statement.
Founded by Charles Redfern, Organico Realfoods operates brands including Realfoods by Organico, Fish4Ever, Vitacore, Trapani and Bio Sabor.
The Realfoods by Organico brand includes products such as breadsticks and crackers, pasta, sauces and spreads and dips, and is available for purchase via the firm’s website.
Based in Reading, Organico Realfoods is a certified B Corp and only sells organic products.
