Carlsberg Britvic is bringing back Tango Blast for another limited drop due to ‘popular demand’.

Inspired by Tango Ice Blast flavours, Tango Raspberry Blast and Cherry Blast will be returning to store shelves for a limited time in a new 2 litre format, building on the success of its first convenience excusive launch in April 2024.

Retailing with an MRSP of £3.35, the new larger bottles will be available across discounters including Iceland, Home Bargains and more.

Plant-based food brand Happiee has launched the ‘UK’s first’ easy-to-cook lion’s mane mushroom product range.

The range includes two flavours of Happiee’s newly developed mushroom pieces – original and teriyaki – sold in 180g packs and both retailing at £4 per unit.

Currently being rolled out in in 240 Sainsbury’s stores nationwide, the mushroom pieces are pre-prepared, marinated and ready-to-cook. This separates the SKUs from fresh lion’s mane, Happiee said, which is naturally bitter and requires extensive preparation time.

A new Korean pear juice drink designed to prevent hangovers has launched in the UK.

Nashi Pear Juice was founded by London-based sibling duo Taya and Lucy Jackson and has sold 1,000 cans since launching last month.

The sisters developed Nashi after researching the use of Korean pear juice as a hangover remedy, with a modern study published in Food and Chemical Toxicology confirming its benefits in supporting alcohol metabolism and reducing hangover symptoms.

Pasty and slices brand Ginsters has launched a new snacking on-the-go range inspired by street food flavours.

Ginsters’ new Pocket range is designed to be eaten cold – on-the-go and straight from the hand – or heated and feature flavours inspired by popular street foods.

The range launches with five flavours – Butter Chicken, Sriracha Chicken, Smoky BBQ Beef, Chinese Salt and Pepper Chicken, and Steak and Marmite with Cheese.

Free-from snack brand Crave is expanding its sweet biscuit portfolio with the launch of the ‘UK’s first’ gluten-free and vegan pink wafer biscuit.

Tapping into the rising consumer trend of nostalgia-driven purchases, Crave’s Pink Cheetah Wafers come in a 16 pack of pink wafer vegan biscuits filled with vanilla cream and are free from dairy and gluten.

The launch also taps into the growing demand for allergen-free foods – recent data from the Food Standards Agency found that one in 20 adults in the UK has a confirmed food allergy, nearly a third have food sensitivities, and one in 12 young children are affected by food allergies.

Genius Foods has partnered with Candy Kittens to launch a gluten-free, vegan Rocky Roads.

Available from 28 April, the dark chocolate rocky road treats are filled with mini versions of Candy Kittens’ Wild Strawberry sweets and pieces of crunchy gluten-free biscuit,

Rocky Roads will be available in the Free-From section at Morrisons and Ocado from the end of this month, rolling out to Tesco and Waitrose from June.

Plant-based food company THIS is preparing to launch a new ‘Superfood’ range of products.

The new range includes the ‘THIS is Super Superfood Super Block (250g)’ and the ‘THIS is Super Superfood Marinated Pieces (180g)‘.

The block is made from fava bean protein, seeds and vegetables and contains 30% more protein than tofu, while the pieces are made from the same recipe but also come in a lemon and herb marinade.

Ice cream brand Wall’s is collaborating with Haribo to launch a new frozen sweet treat, as it expands its non-high in fat, salt and sugar (HFSS) portfolio with a new entry into its Twister range.

The new Haribo Push-Up combines vanilla ice cream, sweet strawberry sauce and Haribo Gold Bears within the stick and will be available in a single stick format in the convenience channel.

Twister is launching a new ice-cream, Twister Mallow, which combines sour raspberry and grape flavours with a sweet creamy marshmallow swirl.

Gosh! has expanded its ‘Street Food’ range with the addition of two new SKUs.

The new ‘Aloo Tikki Bites’ and ‘Katsu Bites’ are now available in Tesco stores nationwide, while they are coming soon Ocado.

Made from 100% natural ingredients, the bites are “packed full of veg” and target the weekday dinner and social gathering occasions, both part of the plant-based convenience category.

The Indian-inspired Aloo Tikki Bites are made from a blend of potato, green lentils and aromatic spices, while the Japanese-inspired Katsu Bites include chickpeas, butternut squash, coconut and spices.
