The updated packaging design is being rolled out across the brand’s entire core range, which includes the ‘Moroccan Spiced Falafel’, ‘Mediterranean Falafel’, ‘Sweet Potato Pakora’, ‘Beetroot Falafel’ and ‘Spinach & Pine Nut Bites’. Each product has an RRP of £2.40 per pack.
New illustrations have also been added to the packaging that emphasise the brand’s “100% natural credentials”.
Every SKU within the core range contains a minimum of six plant points, with each point representing one portion of fruit, vegetables, whole grains, legumes or seeds.
With the new points system, Gosh! is aiming to support consumers in meeting the latest guidance that encourages people to eat at least 30 different plant foods per week.
The Moroccan Spiced Falafel leads the way on eight plant points, ahead of the Sweet Potato Pakora and Spinach & Pine Nut Bites’ on seven.
More information about the plant points system can be found on the Gosh! website.
“At Gosh!, we believe eating more plants should be simple, delicious and make you feel good,” said the firm’s marketing director Caroline Hughes.
“This is why we’re championing ‘plant points’, helping consumers to easily add goodness to their plates. Last year alone, we proudly helped the nation eat 30 million plant points, positively impacting healthier diets, and with our new redesign, we’ve made tracking it easier than ever as part of our commitment to make plant-based eating accessible for everyone.”
Gosh! products are manufactured at the firm’s site in Milton Keynes and are available now in most major UK supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Lidl, Morrisons and Asda.
Its entire range is plant-based and every product is certified by the Vegan Society’s accreditation system.
In related news, the Vegan Food Group (VFG) has partnered with US firm Eat Just to bring its proprietary plant-based egg product to Europe.
Under the agreement, VFG has secured exclusive rights to manufacture and supply Eat Just’s mung bean egg alternative across European markets.
