As Hygiene Manager, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the highest hygiene and GMP standards, ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with HS&E and FSQ regulations.
If hired, you will take ownership of the site’s hygiene and housekeeping systems, leading a dedicated team to drive continuous improvement. You’ll play a key role in setting and executing the site’s hygiene strategy, ensuring cleaning processes are validated, compliance is maintained, and standards are consistently reviewed and enhanced.
Key responsibilities for the role also include the management of budgets for cleaning chemicals, consumables and laundry, driving continuous improvement through internal audits and overseeing chemical supplier relationships.
The successful applicant will need to have proven experience in a similar hygiene manager role within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, people management skills and have a passion for hygiene and technical safety.

Learning associate – Bakkavor

General operative – PepsiCo

Salary: Up to £32,760.69 per year

A position has opened for a general operative at PepsiCo’s Lincoln manufacturing site, home of the Walkers crisps brand.
General operators work in a range of areas, including packaging, process, multipack and services.
In process, you could be involved with inspection duties, manual handing, automation tasks carrying out housekeeping duties or carrying out laboratory tests. In packaging & multipack, you’ll be part of a team packing product, operating and checking machinery and carrying out important quality checks. In services you will be supporting the line by providing raw materials, quality checks and dealing with waste segregation to support our environmental commitment.
Key responsibilities include operating and setting machinery while being accountable for a number of pieces of equipment and understanding the cause of any drops in standards with machinery – along with the impact of this and how to rectify issues.
This role operates on a 12-hour shift pattern, with four days on and four days off – two days and two nights – weekend and bank holidays included.
At minimum, applicants will need to have basic numerical, reading, analytical and computer skills with the ability to work as part of a team and willingness to learn how to operate equipment in an autonomous role.
Preferred qualifications include experience within a manufacturing environment and technical understanding and familiarity of machinery.

Technical manager – David Wood Foods

Fresh and frozen meals manufacturer David Wood Foods is looking to hire a technical manager to oversee the site technical team and associated technical functions.
Working closely with the bakery management team, the technical manager will ensure food safety, quality and legal requirements for the business are controlled and met.
Principal accountabilities for the role include the installation, development, administration and auditing of the food safety and quality management system across the site, and reviewing the system regularly to keep it updated accordingly.
You will act as HACCP team leader, making sure all procedures are met across the business.
The successful candidate will need to be trained to HACCP level 4, have an ISO 9001 or FSSC22000 type qualification and a HND or degree in food sciences or a related subject. You will also need three years’ experience in a food production and technical management role.
