“At approximately 0445 hours on Saturday 12th April, The Glenturret Distillery was the target of a high value robbery,” the whisky maker said in a statement.

“The Glenturret remained closed to public on Saturday 12th April, re-opening on Sunday 13th April 2025.

“Onsite security alerted our team, and local police officers were immediately notified and responded swiftly to the scene. No injuries were reported, and the safety of our employees and customers remains our highest priority.

The Glenturret Distillery is based in Hosh, just outside the town of Crieff in Scotland. Located to the north of Glasgow and Edinburgh, the distillery is said to be one of the oldest in the country and covers three acres of ground.

The manufacturer produces a range of whiskies and also offers tours of the distillery to members of the public.
