Eurovo Group has acquired a majority stake in the UK-based Two Chicks for an undisclosed fee.

Two Chicks, the trading name for Anna Alla Ltd, was founded in 2007 by Anna Richey and Alla Ouvarova and subsequently launched a range of liquid egg white products into the UK retail market that can be used to make “super speedy” omelettes, pancakes or meringues.

Today, its products are stocked by retailers including Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Lidl, while the firm also exports to France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the United Arab Emirates.

Having worked with Eurovo Group, one of the largest European producers of eggs and egg products based in Italy, since 2015, Two Chicks is confident that it will benefit from being part of a larger group as it seeks to continue on its growth journey – the firm has doubled its turnover in the past two years.

Meanwhile, Richey and Ouvarova, who were advised on the deal by corporate finance advisor Oghma Partners, will continue in their current roles and remain as shareholders under the ownership of Eurovo Group.

Still owned by the Lionello family, Eurovo Group reported revenues of approximately €1.25 billion in 2024, while it has built a network of 5,000 customers across more than 40 countries.

Commenting on the deal, Eurovo Group chief sales and marketing officer Federico Lionello said: “I’m truly pleased about this partnership with Two Chicks. It’s a significant step forward for both our companies: it allows Two Chicks to be directly connected to our fully integrated supply chain, and it gives Eurovo the opportunity to enter the UK market alongside a strong and visionary brand.

I’m also happy that Anna and Alla will continue to lead the company – working together will be a real asset for our shared future.”

Richley and Ouvarova added that Two Chicks was delighted to become part of Eurovo Group, which she believes shares the same values upon which her own business was created.

“Furthermore, we look forward to benefitting from Eurovo’s extensive and diverse production capabilities, along with their geographical reach and scale, which will enable us to achieve common goals including exciting new product development,” they concluded.

Finally, Mark Lynch, partner at Oghma Partners, commented: “Finding a buyer that offers such a good fit for the business and enhances its growth opportunities is very satisfying.”
