Laubies has held the role on an interim basis since Nathalie Roos stepped down as CEO in September of last year for personal reasons.
Prior to that, Laubies had served as the chair of the firm’s supervisory board since Lipton Teas and Infusions was established as an independent business in 2022.
With 30 years of experience working for multinational firms such as Mars and the Campbell Soup Company, Laubies was previously the CEO at both Jacobs Douwe Egberts and Coty. He also remains a member of the Groupe Panzani board.
Speaking after he was appointed to the role on an interim basis six months ago, Laubies said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Nathalie for her achievements as CEO of LIPTON Teas and Infusions. She has set the business on an exciting journey that we continue to follow, and I wish her all the best.”
Roos added: “I have found my time at LIPTON Teas and Infusions enormously rewarding. I believe we have created a special company with tremendous potential, and I look forward to watching its future success.”
Based in Amsterdam, Lipton Teas and Infusions owns a range of leading tea brands including Lipton, Pukka and PG Tips, and operates in more than 100 countries around the world.
It was established in July 2022 after Unilever sold its tea business, named Ekaterra at the time, to private equity firm CVC Capital Partners, which subsequently rebadged Ekaterra as Lipton Teas and Infusions.
Based in Jersey, CVC Capital Partners is also invested in food businesses such as Monbake, Panzani and Vivartia.
