Packs of Rude Health Chocolate Crunch Granola (400g) with a PD24102024 batch code and best before date of 24 October 2025 are being recalled because of a possible insect infestation and therefore should not be consumed.
To alert consumers, Rude Health Foods has issued point of sale notices to stores that sell the product, which can then be displayed at the checkout.
The notices explain why the recalled was announced and urge consumers that have bought an impacted pack to return it for a full refund.
“No other batches of the chocolate crunch granola or other Rude Health products are affected by this recall,” Rude Health Foods said.
“This recall is being made with the knowledge of the UK Foods Standards Agency. We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused to our customers.”
Rude Health is a cereal and plant-based drinks manufacturer founded in 2005. The firm was acquired by Finnish business Oddlygood for an undisclosed fee in October 2024, but continues to manufacture its product range in the UK.
Elsewhere, Hogan’s Turkey is recalling three date codes of its ‘Farm Turkey Burgers’ because they contain sulphur dioxide which is not declared on the label.
The omission means that the product poses a possible health risk to anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites. This product is sold in Dunnes stores in Northern Ireland only.
The recall relates to 400g packs of the burgers with a best before date of 25 March 2025, 26 March 2025 and 28 March 2025.
Point of sale notices will be displayed in all Dunnes stores that sell this product explaining why the recall is taking place. Anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites can return the products for a full refund.
“Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter,” Hogan’s Turkey said.
“We regret this situation and assure you that we are undertaking measured steps to prevent its recurrence.”
