Korean and Japanese food products manufacturer Kelly Loves is recalling a specific batch of its ‘Sushi Ginger’ SKU because the possible presence of glass makes it unsafe to eat.
Sold in 150ml jars, the affected batch features the code ‘UK12019’ and a 9 February 2026 best before date.
Point of sale notices are being displayed in all retail stores that sell the product, including Waitrose and Asda, explaining why the jars of sushi ginger are being recalled.
“While the product has been removed from shelves as a precautionary measure, we are now extending the recall to consumers who may have purchased the affect product,” the notices read.
“Other Kelly Loves Sushi Ginger batches/products are not affected by this recall.”
Customers that have purchased the product have been advised not to eat it and instead return it to the store whether it was purchased for a full refund or contact Kelly Loves directly for more information.
Meanwhile, TJX Europe Ltd is recalling two batches of pistachio bars because they contain milk which is not mentioned on the label, which means that they pose a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
The ‘Lokumella Mini Pistachio Bars’ were on sale in TK Maxx and Homesense stores between January and March 2025, with the affected packs featuring either of the following batch codes: 758612 and 758664.
Meanwhile, the recalled packs have a best before date of 24 November 2026 and are sold in 180g bags.
Point of sale notices are being displayed in all stores that sold this product urging consumers with an allergy to milk not to consume the product.
Instead, they can return the packs to a TK Maxx or Homesense store for a full refund. Both stores are owned by TJX Europe Ltd.
