Nestlé is recalling 14 batches of Frosted Shreddies sold in the UK and Ireland.

Nestlé Cereal Partners UK & Ireland announced on 27 February 2025 that the batches were being recalled due to the risk that pieces of hard sugar may be found in the product.

This means that the product poses a potential health and safety risk to anyone that consumes it.

The issue is affecting 500g boxes of Nestlé Frosted Shreddies with a July 2025 best before date and any of the following batch codes: 42850952, 42860952, 42870952, 42880952, 42890952 and 42900952.

Meanwhile, 40g boxes of Nestlé Frosted Shreddies sold as part of the Nestlé Box Bowl Mixed Cereals are also affected. The impacted products have either a June 2025 or July 2025 best before date, and one of the following batch codes: 42913451, 42923451, 42933451, 43173451, 43183451, 43193451, 43203451 and 43233451.

The batch code can be found on the top of the pack in the case of both the 500g and 40g boxes.

No other batches of Nestlé Frosted Shreddies, Nestlé Shreddies varieties or other Nestlé breakfast cereal products are affected.

Nestlé has advised that customers do not eat any product with these batch codes. Instead, customers should take a photo of the code and contact the firm’s customer service team in order to receive a refund.

“Safety and quality is our first priority and we apologise for the inconvenience caused,” a Nestlé statement said.
