Indian snacks brand Haldiram’s has announced plans to expand its production capabilities in the UK.

The firm, which operates out of a facility in Southall in west London, is also weighing up the possibility of opening a restaurant that will enable it to bring its products and flavours to a “new audience”.

Founded in 1937 and still owned by the Agarwal family in India, Haldiram’s manufactures more than 500 products, including traditional sweets, namkeen, ready-to-eat meals, frozen foods and instant mixes.

Its products are distributed to more than 80 countries around the world, with the UK branch operating under the Haldiram Overseas Ltd umbrella.

“Haldiram’s is expanding in the UK to enhance our production capabilities and meet growing demand,” said Rhea Agarwal, director of business development at Haldiram Overseas Ltd for the UK and EU.

“We are also exploring the possibility of opening a restaurant to bring our authentic flavours to a wider audience. Additionally, we continue to invest in new product development to innovate and delight our customers.”

Meanwhile, Haldiram’s has launched a new range of gift boxes that feature a wide array of its products.

“Our customers were searching for gifting solutions that reflect authenticity, elegance, and a sense of occasion,” Agarwal said of the gifting range.

“Our new gifting service is designed to meet this demand, offering luxurious, fully customisable options that celebrate India’s rich culinary heritage in a way that feels truly special. Our aim is to become the go-to brand for premium sweets and snack gifts in the UK.”
