Firstly, The Vegan Patty Lady is recalling 16 batch codes of its Assorted Jamaican Vegan Curry Patties because the label does not declare that the product contains celery.
This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to celery.
The 150g patties are sold in six packs, with all packs featuring a batch code from TVPL 45 to TVPL to 59 and 59a included in the recall.
The best before dates of the patties range from 30 December 2024 to 18 July 2025, with the majority falling in either May or June.
The batch code and best before date can be found at the back of the pack in the bottom right corner.
The Vegan Patty Lady has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
The company has also issued point-of-sale notices to its customers which explain to customers why the product is being recalled. The notices advise anyone that has bought the product not to eat it if they have an allergy to celery and instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
Elsewhere, Cheshire Farm is recalling three separate batches of its Caramelized Biscuit Ice Cream because the product contains hazelnuts which is not mentioned on the label. As a result, the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to nuts.
Packs with a batch code of L23139, L23261 or L24150 are being recalled, with these batches having corresponding best before dates of 19 November 2024, 18 March 2025 and 29 November 2025 respectively.
Cheshire Farm has also contacted the relevant allergy support organisations and issued point-of-sale notice to its customers advising those with an allergy to hazelnut not to eat the product and to return it for a refund.
