Several batches of sour cream and onion crisps are being recalled because they contain an allergen that is not mentioned on the label.

Boundless is recalling four batches of its ‘Sour Cream and Onion Flavour Chips’ because the packaging does not declare that the crisps are made with milk.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

The recall relates to 80g packs of Boundless Sour Cream and Onion Flavour Chips with a best before date of either 30 November 2025 or 31 December 2025, and a batch code of 31724, 32424, 34624 or 34724.

The batch code and best before date can be found on the back of the pack in the bottom right corner.

Customers informed

In addition to recalling the product and withdrawing the affected batches from shelves, Boundless has issued point of sale notices to be displayed in in all retail stores that sell the product.

The notices explain to customers why the recall is taking place and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.

Meanwhile the Food Standards Agency issued the following statement: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead, return it to store for a refund. For more information, please contact Boundless.”

Based in Bristol, Boundless is an “activated snacking” brand that produces a range of vegan and gluten-free items such as crisps and seeds.

Its range is stocked with retailers in the UK including Asda, Lidl and Costco.
