The investment by Abu Dhabi-based Raya Holdings now values the company at £100m.
The new funding will help with Drip Water’s distribution and retail placement in the region, opening doors for partnerships in sport, music and events.
New canning facility
Drip Water has also begun plans to develop a canning facility and central distribution hub for the region, aiming to be the leading mineral water supplier for the Middle East.
Luke Davis, co-founder of Drip Water, said: "The investment from Raya Holding represents a significant milestone in Drip Water’s journey.
“Their expertise and strategic support will be instrumental in accelerating our expansion across the Middle East and beyond. Together, we aim to leverage market insights and regional access to drive global growth and reach an even wider consumer base.”
Founded in October 2023 by TV chef and musician Big Zuu, Drip offers a canned alternative to still and sparkling water. Its water is naturally filtered through layers of chalk, providing it with minerals such as calcium and magnesium from within England’s South Downs.
A spokesperson for Raya Holding added: “At Raya Holding, we are committed to investing in innovative and high-growth brands that align with our vision for sustainability and market expansion.
“Drip Water’s unique approach to premium hydration and environmental responsibility makes it a strong fit for our portfolio. Through this partnership, we look forward to supporting Drip Water’s regional expansion and helping the brand reach new milestones on a global scale.”
Across the UK and US
The British water company has sustainability at its core – using aluminium and saving 95% of the energy it would take to make a plastic bottle or carton, Drip claimed. Drip has grown rapidly since its launch and is available across the UK and in the US starting this year.
