Sussex-based meat manufacturer Southover Foods has launched its first range of products to the retail market.

Set to be introduced at IFE 2019, Southover Sussex Cured is a range of premium cooked meats created specifically for retail customers.

The new range comprises: New-York Style Pastrami; Honeyroast Farmhouse Ham; Farmhouse Plain Ham; Cooked Topside of Beef; and Cooked Back Bacon.

The range features new branding, with stylish cardboard sleeves to appeal to middle and high-end retailers, while the meats are aimed at customers who care about quality produce and food provenance. The business added that retailers and consumers could feel confident in the new range as Southover is BRC AA grade certified.

Steve Pearce, managing director of Southover Food Company, said: “In 2019 we will be celebrating our 30th anniversary in style and, naturally, we are excited to showcase Southover Sussex Cured to a whole new market at IFE 2019. It is rewarding that, after so long in the business, we are still challenging the team, producing new products and pushing ourselves to do better.”

Southover Foods has a nationwide customer-base, serviced with a fleet of 14 branded vans and 40 dedicated staff across two sites

In addition to cooked meats, Southover also supplies a wide range of speciality foods to the foodservice industry, ranging from cheeses and baked goods to soups, cakes, drinks and savoury meals.
