Young's Seafood have launched three new fish products
Young’s Seafood has announced the launch of three premium frozen fish products aimed at targeting distinct groups of shoppers.

Young’s Gastro Jumbo Beer Battered Argentinian Red Shrimp (220g) contains wild-caught sweet and succulent Argentinian Red Shrimp wrapped in Young’s signature Gastro beer batter.

Argentinian Red Shrimp species was a new addition to the company’s hugely successful Gastro restaurant quality portfolio, tapping into growing demand for shellfish, according to Young’s.

Young’s Lightly Battered Chunky Cod Fillets and Lightly Breaded Chunky Cod Fillets (250g) comprise 100% natural cod fish fillets wrapped in signature crispy batter or golden breadcrumbs.

The products met the consumer need for a premium, chunkier product, targeting discerning ‘foodie’ shoppers and smaller households, with chunky cod fillet displayed in packs of two. 

Young’s Gastro Jumbo Beer Battered Argentinian Red Shrimp, Young’s Lightly Battered Chunky Cod Fillets and Young’s Lightly Breaded Chunky Cod Fillets will be available in Asda stores from next month, said Young’s.

Last month, Young’s announced it had appointed marine biologist Cameron Moffat to its corporate social responsibility team to drive its responsible seafood strategy​.
