Organic confectionery manufacturer Rawr Chocolate has launched a range of vegan, gluten-free chocolate bars.

The range of ‘thin’ bars are available in five flavours, including Lucuma Cacao, 68% Cacao, 80% Cacao, Orange and Mint.

The chocolate is certified organic by the Soil Association, certified Fairtrade and is naturally sweetened with coconut palm sugar.

Rawr has wrapped the bars in 100% recyclable foil and packaged in a matte-effect wrapper made from 90% recycled paper and 10% cocoa shell.

Orya Blumenfeld, owner and managing director at Rawr, said: “With our new range we want to introduce a convenient way to enjoy our chocolate. With their delicate yet deliberate mouthfeel, these thin bars really reveal a whole new Rawr experience.”

The ‘pocket-sized’ bars are now available from Rawr’s website, with a recommended retail price of £1.49.

Blumenfeld added: “We’ve had tremendous feedback from early testers of Rawr Thin bars and anticipate this new format to attract many new chocolate-lovers to our base. We are very excited about 2018!”

The launch of Rawr’s thin chocolate bars followed a number of confectionery product releases over the past month.

Chocolatier Paul A Young has created a luxury truffle, using premium California prunes, in time for Easter.

Meanwhile, Orange Smarties are set to reappear in packs filled with the sweets this spring, following the success of Giant Tubes of the confection last autumn.
