Wide solenoid valve range controls food fluid flows

Albion is offering a variety of solenoid valves that are widely used in food and drink manufacture to control the flow and direction of fluids and for batch control in bottling plants and canneries.

They also drive pneumatic and hydraulic systems, flush systems, control cylinders and fluid power motors and help control and energise the operation of larger industrial valves, the company adds.

They can be found in almost any process that requires measurement, such as grouping and flow control, and are essential, for example, in the processing of condiments, sauces into jars such as mustard, mayonnaise and ketchup.

“Solenoids are very commonplace in the food processing industry and, as such, are a product line that our distributors require again and again,” says solenoid manufacturer Albion’s Les Littlewood.

“To cater for demand we have introduced a wide range of design options to offer greater choice, and more cost-effective engineered solutions. Our solenoid valve programme includes valves for air, steam, oil and gas.”
