Hilton Food Group confirms acquisition talks
Processor Hilton Food Group has confirmed that it is in discussions to acquire fish supplier Icelandic Seachill.

Responding to reports in Undercurrent News​, Hilton released the following statement: "Hilton Food Group plc notes the media speculation in relation to a potential acquisition and confirms that it is at an early stage of discussions in relation to such a transaction. There can be no certainty, at this time, whether any agreement on such a transaction will be reached, and a further announcement will be made as and when appropriate."

Iceland Seachill, which counts The Saucy Fish Co as one of its key brands, supplies to Tesco and Waitrose in the UK. It is owned by Icelandic Group, which initiated a sale process in April of this year. According to the Icelandic Group, Seachill's revenues totalled £266.3 million in 2016, with EBITDA of £10.4 million, and it employs 750 people.
