The firm will now see its potted hough on the shelves of 60 Tesco stores throughout Scotland. The hough is a traditional Scottish recipe produced from 100% Scottish-sourced shin beef, which is then slow-roasted and combined with a secret blend of spices.
"We're proud to be working with Scottish farmers to source the fantastic quality Scotch Beef which is used in the Binghams potted hough," said Peter Moon, director of Binghams. "Spread thickly onto Scotch rolls, oat cakes or onto a slice of bread, Binghams potted hough is perfect for lunch or as a snack."
The hough is branded with the Scotch Beef quality logo, signifying its commitment to Scotch Beef. The launch comes in conjunction with British Sandwich Week, which runs from 14-20 May.
Binghams, based in Sheffield, already supplies a range of products to Tesco, including Binghams potted beef, Binghams beef spread and Binghams beef and tomato, throughout Yorkshire and the Midlands. Moon has been working with the Tesco regional Scottish buyer to gain this new listing.
Binghams' products can be found in a variety of other retailers including Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons.
