The range of lidding films from KM Packaging Services has been extended with an innovative new resealing film called K Reseal that can be opened and reclosed multiple times.

K Reseal is compatible with amorphous polyethylene terephthalate, crystalline polyethylene terephthalate and polyethylene-lined types of thermoformed trays. It is targeted at convenience and chilled products with the added optional features of anti-fog, laser perforation and printability.

As the lidding film can be resealed many times, it lends itself to snacks, treats, salads and sliced or diced produce, such as fruit and vegetables, that needs to be kept fresh despite repeat access to the packaging by the consumer.

The transparent lid is also printable, making it an attractive solution for on-shelf packaging as well as useful for providing information and reducing the need for additional external packaging.

Significant packaging weight reduction is achieved when compared with traditional thermoformed clip-on lids and up to 3kg of packed product can be stacked for distribution and retail.
