The latest Lightnin brand SanStar series mixers from US company SPX Flow have been specifically designed to meet the needs of the food and drink sector.

The stainless steel in-line (SSi) and stainless steel offset (SSop) mixers, said to be ideal for a range of hygienic uses, provide long life, together with reliable operation and reduced power loss through the use of high-efficiency gearing, SPX Flow says.

The range offers flexible options to match individual application needs. Quality assurance documentation, demonstrating good manufacturing practice, can be provided with the mixers.

The mixers are adaptable to installation requirements and have open tank, lip seal and mechanical seal mounting options with a choice of ANSI, DIN or sanitary flanges.

The units are further designed to accommodate longer shaft lengths to fit mix-tanks without the need for any in-tank bottom support. Various motor options plus a full spectrum of impeller types are available to meet a wide variety of tank sizes.

The mixers offer users power ranges from 0.18kW to 1.5kW with speeds from 84 to 1,800 revolutions per minute.
