Combination 'food-to-go' packs now in smaller sizes
Featuring a novel packaging combination, Combione consists of a paperboard base and plastic lid, which are fused together with an innovative hinge for secure closing. The one-piece solution enables foodservice operators to assemble fresh dishes swiftly, overcoming issues relating to separate base and lid pack combinations such as contamination.
With current Combione pack volumes ranging from 1,110ml to 1,280ml, the new pack size (available from July 2016) comes in a smaller, 910ml size.
“Our Combione packs have been extremely successful and the new, reduced volume, pack will suit smaller sized portions but will also enable retailers to up-sell with side portions of salad or fruit to accompany main meals, catering to this growing market segment,” says Colpac’s md Neil Goldman.
The Combione packs are completely recyclable.
