A coconut-based alternative to yogurt has been introduced by Middledale Foods.

Yo-Good has been developed using a blend of coconut cream, water and clean declaration stabilising solution, resulting in a creamy yogurt-like texture and a 10% total fat content.

Middledale claimed the launch met the current demand for healthy alternatives.

Coconut milk trend

“Coconut milk has increased dramatically in recent years – a trend that is set to continue for the foreseeable future,” it said.

“Coconuts contain all the macronutrients of carbohydrate, fat and protein as well as being a great source of fibre and essential vitamins and minerals, including iron and magnesium.”
