Underwriters Laboratories creates free global ingredients database
Food manufacturers are now able to access a free online global database of more than 70,000 ingredients.
Created by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), the Prospector app contains technical datasheets, safety information, certification details and starter formulations on ingredients across 80 categories.
Accelerating research
UL said it was aimed at speeding up the search for ingredients and accelerating the research and development process.
“Nowadays, people want solutions that are easy and spontaneously accessible the Prospector app is the answer to these demands,” it added.
