High street baker Greggs has appointed Covent Garden-based technology firm Keytree to help it manage its 4,500 suppliers across its operations and respond to future growth.

Keytree will implement its Ariba solutions software later this year as part of Greggs’s transformation programme.

It will also provide Greggs with SAP technology and applications to improve its customer interaction centre.

This will help the baker to handle calls and daily enquires more effectively, according to Keytree.

Planned growth

Greggs programme manager for SAP transformation James Holmes said the firm was already beginning to see the results of the investment in IT.

“With our planned growth in the UK, it was important that we chose the right technology partner to help us plan and execute these projects successfully,” he said.

“As well as a strong track record of successful project delivery, Keytree has the right cultural fit to help us achieve our goals.”
