Canmaking machinery provider CMB Engineering has installed one of its 3400 Die Necker multi-stage machines into its Academy based in Shipley, West Yorkshire. This will allow CMB to provide its customers’ engineers with training in a non-production environment.

The installation is said to be the first of its kind for canmaking and seaming and marks the third big step in the evolution of the company’s Academy as it continues to build on existing practical and theoretical training for its machines, which include the CMB5000 Bodymaker and the CMB550 Trimmer (CMB 5500 Canmaker).

“We are delighted to once again expand our Academy offering by introducing one of our most innovative machines,” says Andrew Truelove, general manager at CMB Engineering.

“This latest installation reflects our unwavering commitment to improving our customers’ knowledge and understanding by providing a range of expert-led practical and theory-based learning workshops.”

There are nearly 100 3400 Die Neckers in operation.
