Ready meal supplier Laila’s Fine Foods has acquired two SL4 tray sealers from Packaging Automation’s Eclipse range to meet its growing throughput.

The Eclipse SL4 has been designed to address the environmental impact of packaging operations by reducing the user's power consumption by up to 90%. The in-line, fully electric SL4 is a small footprint machine capable of sealing 60 packs a minute.

“Laila’s Fine Foods has enjoyed a six-year relationship with Packaging Automation, starting with a single machine,” says Laila’s general manager Mark Richardson. “We have continued to grow with Paackaging Automation.”

After buying its first machine, two further ones were installed and the two latest high speed sealing machines brings the total to five.

“Packaging Automation is now looking at new processes to help us to progress and keep at the forefront of this competitive arena,” adds Richardson.
