EHL Ingredients has appointed Katherine Davis as its new product development manager to lead the development of new blends and boost its product range.

Her initial role will be to create innovative conventional and organic dry ingredient blends, such as coatings, rubs, seasonings and dry marinades for meat, fish and vegetable dishes.

Her main focus will be on the UK food manufacturing, food service, catering, bakery, snacks, wholesale and cash and carry sectors.

Davis will bring over 27 years’ experience to the role, gained at firms such as MRC, Kentucky Fried Chicken and on brands including Knorr, Hellman’s and Robertson’s.

Davis said she was excited to be joining the Stockport-based firm.

Expansion plans

“Creating and launching new blends is paramount to the company’s expansion plans this year, as marinades, coatings and rubs are a fast growing food trend that demands constant attention and modification,” she added.

EHL’s sales and marketing director, Tasneem Backhouse, said: “Davis joins the team at a very exciting time as we are in a period of strong growth and have plans for further expansion.

“She will be a great asset to the team and her knowledge, experience and reputation within the food industry will help to drive the company forward and strengthen our offering in organic, conventional ingredients and blends.”
