Kent flavour, fragrance and oil manufacturer Elixarome has appointed David Howard as its new sales director.

Howard joins the Tonbridge-based firm from antioxidant firm Vitiva, where he has been sales director for its UK business since 2011.

Before this, he spent almost five years as business development manager of ingredients firm Huegli.

Elixarome owner and md Arthur Phillips said he was “delighted” with the appointment.

Knowledge and experience

“With over 25 years’ experience selling food ingredients to manufacturers, he has a wealth of knowledge and expertise to help push our business forward – especially now we have moved into our new purpose-equipped factory.”

Elixarome was founded by Arthur and Janet Phillips in 1998 to offer technical services to the flavour, fragrance and essential oils industries.

It now supplies sweet and savoury flavourings in both liquid and powder forms. These include natural flavourings, fragrances for industry, essential oils for food, fragrance and manufacturing industries and aroma materials – such as natural aroma chemicals for the trade.
