Ice cream firm Suncream Dairies has appointed Helen Procter as its new technical manager.

Procter will be responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of food safety and quality are applied across the business, the firm said.

Suncream Dairies md Rebecca Manfredi, said Procter would bring “considerable experience” of working with household brands and retailers to the company.

The Staffordshire-based firm also appointed Jo McMullen as its new sales manager.

‘Valuable experience’

Manfredi said: “Both McMullen and Procter have valuable experience of the foodservice sector, and I’m confident that their fresh approach, individual experience and in-depth knowledge of the industry and its processes will contribute significantly to the continuing growth of our business.”

Last year, Manfredi revealed to FoodManufacture.co.uk in an exclusive podcast the importance of weather-proofing her business.
