Daylesford Organic’s boss Jamie Mitchell has announced his decision to leave the company after four years in charge.

Mitchell will officially stand down as ceo of the Gloucestershire-based firm at the end of March.

Nick Fletcher, currently financial director of Daylesford Organic, will lead the day-to-day running of the firm – supported by operations director Mark Bright and supply chain director Ben Tuppen.

‘Next adventure’

Mitchell said: “The time is right for my next adventure. I am leaving the businesses in positions of great strength, with experienced leadership teams and exciting growth plans.”

Prior to joining Daylesford, Mitchell was the UK md of Innocent Drinks, where he tripled the business to £100M turnover in three years, according to Daylesford.

In 2008, he was named as a young global leader by the World Economic Forum.

Daylesford’s products are available at farm shops in Gloucestershire, London, the south of England and Japan – as well as through online retailer Ocado.
