The ‘100% natural flavours’ will range from mainstream fruit varieties, such as strawberry or blackcurrant, to ginger or cinnamon.
“Using flavoured raisins gives an intense burst of flavour to products and enhances the overall eating experience,” says Cathy Anderson, technical applications manager for Mariani Europe.
The flavoured raisins can be used as a bake-stable ingredient as well as in cereals, yogurts and confectionery.
As they are being produced in a 100kg minimum batch process, Mariani allows customers to trial different flavours of the product without having to commit to large initial volumes.
