Take the steam out of heating and cut costs

Chocolate manufacturer's new heating system

A major chocolate snack manufacturer has moved away from steam boilers in favour of a new heating system for temperature trending and recipe control. ICS Cool Energy supplied T90 non-pressurised water heaters to support the task of chocolate tempering, which needs careful temperature trending and recipe control.

The factory's previous equipment delayed the process while the boiler heated to the appropriate temperature, seeing water being wasted through evaporation.

The ICS Cool Energy water heaters incorporate high-grade, non-ferrous quality components, self-cleaning solenoid valves and stainless steel heat exchangers.

ICS Cool energy sales director, Richard Metcalfe, comments: "The concept of moving away from steam had never been considered before due to a concern that the power costs would be too high, but due to the heaters only heating up the exact amount of power needed, it will save on usage, which in turn will reduce costs."
