Kolak Foods has unveiled a new £9.6M snack as it seeks to tap into soaring demand for popcorn-based snacks.

The firm’s head of technical Sterling Crew said it reflected the confidence the business had to deliver growth, quality and consistency to its customers. He added it had made a big impression.
“The new site gives us a point of difference and delivers the right innovation and processing equipment. Customers have said it is the best or one of the best sites they’ve seen.”

‘Growing’

Watch this video to find out how the site has allowed the firm to enter the popcorn market, which Crew predicted would be the key area of growth for Kolak, and how it created 100 jobs, including internal promotions.

He said that the biggest challenge the business faced over the last year was making sure the new site wasn’t too sexy and did not distract staff from the day-to-day running and investment in its original site.
