A new handheld device can electronically record hazard analysis critical control point (HACCP) data, eliminating the need for long-hand forms and papers.

The Dilisense unit's temperature recording device, smart digital thermometer and HACCP organiser can be operated via its touch screen.

Its Administrator software enables users to: set up parameters and pin numbers for each user; create details of suppliers, products, delivery criteria; create cooking, cooling, holding and storage temperatures and create tasks.

It will store and record tasks and alert for tasks which have not been fulfilled or criteria which has not been met. Records are date and time stamped for future retrieval. The user can archive all temperature data or print it out, as required.

The Dilisense uses a standard thermometer probe widely used in the food industry and comes with a USB lead and mains adaptor which allow charging from both a PC or the electrical supply. it has a rubber boot for added protection.
