Bakery ingredients manufacturer Zeelandia has made two new technical appointments, in a bid to increase their focus on customer requirements.

Adam Davies will bring 15-years’ experience to his new role of bakery technician.

Davies spent the past three years at foodservice firm the Compass Group, before this he spent four years in Navy. Prior to this he worked as a chef for Bakers Oven.

“It’s great to be joining a company that produces such high quality bakery ingredients – and particularly to be in a role right at the heart of all the product development action,” said Davies.

Andrew Gaunt, who has 23-years’ experience in the craft bakery sector, has joined the company as test baker.

‘Well-informed’

David Amos, md of Zeelandia, said: “The rate of change in the bakery market is accelerating, and plant and craft bakers are looking for well-informed technical expertise and advice and new ingredients - as well as ingredients that can be used for new products.

“Our new recruits, both of whom have extensive experience in quality management and product innovation will help us provide an even better service to these bakers.”
