Europe’s largest own-label ice cream manufacturer has bought the Yoomoo frozen yogurt brand for an undisclosed sum.

R&R Ice Cream plans to widen the frozen yogurt brand’s home range from March with four new flavours.

Middle East and Greece

Yoomoo brand founders Amanda and Daniel Gestetner will continue to run the brands chain of yogurt bars at home and in the Middle East and Greece.

Amanda Gestetner said: “We look forward to working with R&R as the brand grows within the R&R group. 2013 will be an exciting journey for the expansion of the home division.”

Gestetner also highlighted the potential to improve the frozen yogurt’s positioning through the parent company’s marketing and distribution channels.

The Yoomoo home range is available from Asda, Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury, Morrisons and the Co-op.
