Foodservice supplier, Brakes has appointed Mike Park as its new business unit director for the west region.

Park joins from distribution firm Palmer and Harvey where had been retail sales director since February 2011.

Prior to this he has been director of sales at brewing company InBev and its parent company Anheasuer-Busch.

‘Very exciting time’

He joins fellow Brakes business unit directors; Mark Bruce who covers Scotland, Richard Palentine who looks after the north, Richard Jones who oversees the east and Kevin Hughes who looks after Woodward Foodservice. They all report to divisional director, Jeremy Woodward.

Commenting on Park’s appointment, Woodward said: : “Mike is joining Brakes at a very exciting time as we seek to develop our market-leading customer service  further, by delivering bespoke solutions for customers which will help them to develop their business and increase their profitability.”
