Nutritional frozen ready meals created for children
When three working mothers, Donna Tresadern, Kay Shearing and Nikki Da Costa-Smith, struggled to find healthy, convenient and tasty food for children they decided to create their own frozen ready meals range.

No Added Salt is a nutritious children's meal range that was developed with a dietician. The meals contain no added salt, additives, flavours or preservatives.

Two ranges are available: the junior range which is designed for children aged five plus, and an infant range for one- to four-year-olds. Dishes include Spaghetti Bolognese, Penne in Tomato Sauce, Fruity Chicken Curry, Fish Pie and Chicken Casserole. The company plans to launch an extended range next year to include Chicken Nuggets, Mini Fish Fillets and Burgers.

Tresadern, one of the co-founders of No Added Salt, said: "Our recipes were devised using immune-boosting ingredients. We are launching the Junior No Added Salt range in the freezer section at Tesco stores across the UK and giving busy mums and dads a convenient and healthy option at dinner time."

Sarah Almond, a children's dietician, says: "The No Added Salt meals have been devised in accordance with the Caroline Walker Trust nutritional guidelines. For example, the beef has been chosen for its iron content, as iron deficiency in children is the most common nutritional deficiency."
